Obituary of Edna Stegner

Edna Mae Stegner, 83, widow of Robert Edward Stegner, of Sumter, died July 12, 2019 at Prisma Tuomey Hospital in Sumter.

 

Born in Pinewood, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harmon N. Turner and Lottie Mae Brewer Turner.

 

She retired from Campbell Soup in Sumter.

 

She is survived by 2 sons, Joseph L. Stegner, (Georgana) and Martin K. Stegner, both of Sumter; 2 daughters, M. Denise Koscica (Anthony) of Youngsville, NC, and Amanda L. Schlender (John) of Savannah; 3 sisters, Lucille Austin (P.O.) of Sumter, Daisy Kirkpatrick (Daniel) of Gable, and Rebecca Burke (Albert) of Hookerton, NC; 3 brothers, Troy Turner (Mary), Raymond Turner (Lillie May) and Charles Turner (Shirley), all of Sumter; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Felicia Stegner; 3 brothers, Richard Turner, Harmon Turner, Jr. and Claude Turner; and 1 sister, Lee Turner.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Sumter.

 

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at 2603 Wheeler Street, Sumter.
