I FIRST MET JIM TRAPP 63 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH. IT WAS ON MY FIRST DAY WORKING FOR A NEW YORK BANK, IT WAS IN A VERY LARGE DEPARTMENT AND I WAS A LITTLE AWED.. A YOUNG MAN APPROACHED ME AND SAID " I'M JIM TRAPP. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU JUST LET ME KNOW."
WE BECAME INSTANT FRIENDS. HE BECAME MY VERY BEST FRIEND.
OVER THE YEARS MY WIFE AND I WOULD TRAVEL DOWN TO SUMTER TO VISIT WITH HIM AND HIS BELOVED CATHY. THEY IN TURN WOULD MAKE THE TRIP UP TO BRICK NJ TO SEE US.. HE HAD A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND MOST OF THE TIME WE WOULD SPEND LAUGHING AND ENJOYING CATHY'S FRENCH COOKING. THERE WERE TIMES WHEN WE NEEDED PRAYERS, AND JIM WOULD SAY "I'M PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GOD BLESS YOU."
HE WAS KIND TO EVERYONE HE MET, AND NEVER HAD A BAD WORD FOR ANYONE. HE WAS LIKE A BROTHER TO ME. MY WIFE AND I WILL MISS HIM TERRIBLY BUT WE KNOW THAT HE AGAIN IS WITH HIS CATHY.
HE WAS SPECIAL AND I FEEL LUCKY THAT HE ENTERED MY LIFE, AND MY LIFE BECAME BETTER BECAUSE OF HIM.
GOD BLESS YOU JIM. YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY BEST FRIEND.
