Wilma Mary Lou Mixon Baker, 71, wife of Harmon Gene Baker, died Friday, February 21 at her home in Sumter. Born in Timmonsville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Odell Broach Mixon. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa Baker Fulmer (Joe) of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Harmon Gene Baker, Jr. (Laura) of Sumter; 4 grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Claire and Maggie; a sister, Barbara Rabon (Charlie) of Timmonsville; special nieces Alice Rabon Stone and Kristy Chaplin, and numerous other nieces and nephews; and an honorary grandson, Devin. A funeral service will be held 4:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Edward Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and at other times at 2969 Broad Street.
