With deepest sympathy to Edith’s sisters and their families. She was a beautiful Lady with a beautiful spirit! I worked with her at NBSC and was a neighbor for many, many years. I thought so much of Edith As she was such a giving person to her parents and her family as well as others. She was a true Christian Lady that set a very good example for others to follow. I miss her just knowing she is no longer with us. I rejoice that she is with her family and sons and loving Jesus!
Mr. and Mrs. Bates served as a foster family for a child from Crosswell Childrens Home in the early 80s. My dad appreciated their servant heart and the love they showed for that child. It provided an opportunity for that child to experience a loving family. Prayers for peace and comfort for Mrs. Bates’ family.
So very sorry to find out that our Aunt Edith has passed . She was a devoted and caring woman. She’s suffered many heartbreaking losses in her life. She was a strong proud woman that worked hard and enjoyed her home. She took care of many of her family and tried to do her best to help others .
She was a great cook and very good at sewing and making things for her home and family. She was fun to be around and a very good listener. She appreciated the little things in life and never to for granted what she and Uncle Bob had worked so hard for. She was a patient person, to a point but would definitely speak her mind. She had suffered with health problems but kept fighting back. She was a beautiful woman that many admired and looked up to. We didn’t get to see her as much as we would have liked . Living so far away was hard for all they together. Always wanted her to come back here and have a long visit. She will not be in pain anymore and will be reunited with loved ones lost years ago. Much sympathy to her family and friends there. We will cherish her memories. Love Dale and Sue Johnson Zach , Hadleigh and Josh.
