Obituary of Archie Calvin Browder

Archie Calvin Browder, Jr.,79, widower of Gail Tallman Browder, died at his home on August 4, 2020. Born in Sumter, he was the son of the late Charlton McLeod and the late Ila Frierson Browder. Mr. Browder was a member of Wise Drive Baptist Church. He was a retired mechanic from Boyle Machinery and retired welder from Evans Trailers. Surviving are two sons, Christopher George Browder and Jason Gaillard Browder (Teresa) all of Sumter; three brothers Glen Browder (Becky) of Jacksonville, AL, Larry McLeod (Lorena) of Florence, SC and Stan McLeod (Debbie) of Sumter; One sister, Janice Armstrong (Bo) of Lexington, SC.; 5 Grandchildren, Kayla Browder, Melissa Browder, Sarah Miles (Andrew), Peyton Browder and Lane Browder. Mr. Browder was predeceased by his natural born father the late Archie Calvin Browder Sr., one son Archie Calvin Browder III and one brother Billy Browder. Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. Family will receive friends following the graveside service.
