Obituary of Henry Thomas Edens

Henry Thomas Edens,78, widower of Anita Harvin Edens, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Generations of Irmo. Born in Dalzell, SC, he was a son of the late LeRoy Edens, Sr. and Claudia Nichols Edens. Mr. Edens was a member of Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia. He was a U. S. Army Vietnam veteran, retired from the S.C. Army National Guard with 28 years of service and was later employed part-time with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Surviving are a sister, Sarah Gawelek of Florence. He was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Edens, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Banks officiating.
