Obituary of Ronald Martin Clemmons

Ronald M. Clemmons, 50, affectionately known as “Bubby” by family and friends, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at MUSC Health-Florence Medical Center. Born October 6, 1970, in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Patty G. Creech and the late Ronald M. Clemmons. He attended Sumter High School, was a self-employed licensed contractor, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Bubby was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Chip Creech of Sumter; four daughters, Charlie, Sidney, Devon, and Morgan; one granddaughter whom he dearly loved, Alexis; a sister, Wendi Burke (Jim); a brother, Corey Clemmons (Heather); and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Bubby was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Pat Gates and his paternal grandparents, George and Emma Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. Saturday, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and Crematory. All attendees will be required to wear masks. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 210, Columbia, SC 29210, in honor of Bubby’s stepdad, Chip Creech.
