To the Jacoby family: Please accept my belated, but heartfelt condolences on George's passing. "Jake" and I were the best of friends when we worked at West Georgia Medical Center back in the mid-1980s, and I can certainly vouch for his dry wit, vast body of knowledge and wisdom. Take solace in all the wonderful memories you have of him over the years, and may God's love help to provide you comfort during this difficult time. Rest in peace, good friend.

I was a classmate of George in Shreveport, La. I always found George to be a sharp individual with a great sense of humor. The Jesuits gave us a superior foundation and George obviously put it to good use throughout his life. My warmest thoughts and prayers are with his family and may your fondest memories of George give you comfort through these toughest of times.

I am truly saddened that George is gone. I’m certain that he is in a good place with his forebears and beloved Dachshund. I first became acquainted with George in 1970, while serving in Region V, 112th MI Group; George was stationed in Metairie, LA and I was in Little Rock, AR. We finally met face-to-face circa 1973 at Company B, 519th MI Group in Fort Bragg, NC, where we were coworkers. In 1975, George was reassigned to the 2d Infantry Division in Korea; I left Fort Bragg for an assignment at the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, CA. We lost touch until circa 2006 via Facebook. George came from a long line of military veterans dating from the Revolutionary War; he served our country well. Hand salute to you, my friend; thank you for your service and friendship. Ruben Rosario, Crofton, MD

George and I were at Shaw AFB at the same time. Although we didn’t work in the same area, I am probably one of the people he wished would leave his area alone. That being said, I was responsible for monitoring the Medical Group for compliance with Health Services Inspection and Joint Commission criteria so there probably weren’t many areas who wanted to see me coming! George did have a wit about him that will be missed. My deepest condolences to all of you, his family! May you rest knowing that the arms holding him now are the same arms that will give you comfort in the days ahead!

George was a good man and a good friend. His stories may not have always been completely true, but they were always entertaining. He was one of the rare individuals with whom you could agree to disagree, and move on.
Maj Jacoby was a Vietnam era "tunnel rat" and a great patriot. He is sorely missed.

Our heartfelt condolences to the entire family. George was a great neighbor and friend. We will miss the times we hung outside his home to drink a beer or two and swap lies! A fond memory is the time George came to our home to listen to music and have a drink. Pandora was playing all of HIS favorite music! He was flabbergasted as one after another of his favorite tunes rolled out! It was as if Pandora was reading his mind. He will be greatly missed.❤️

My condolences to the Jacoby family. George will be missed for sure. He impacted so many life's throughout his career. Recent conversations he shared illustrated to me how much he cared and missed his family. I am saddened because his plans were to move closer to his family. It was obvious to me his family was his top priority and always talked so proudly about them. In the end, I am certain he was happy as his family was by his side.

I remember the day he was born. Deanna and I spent the night with Aunt Sis, Patty Sue, Ricky and Uncle Billy. We were so excited to have a baby brother. I spent the next 10 years doing my best to keep him on the right path; God guided him to touch so many lives and make an impact on each and every one of us. He left too early but what a legacy he has left behind. Heaven truly gained an angel.
