I remember Ricky as a young boy growing up in Orangeburg. Although he struggled at times, he had a huge heart and was a very kind person.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

I miss Ricky. Ricky and I worked together at Green Savanah. We had a couple head bumps at first- lol, but eventually became friends. Many times he would stop what he was doing to show me how to accomplish a task AND even take the time to explain "why" which helped immensely- he was very patient with me even when I had questions- I learned alot from Ricky. Eventually, we and other coworkers would get together off the clock and were able to enjoy normal "down-time" & have some good clean fun, and what you would see with Ricky was he was usually going wayyy outa his way to help someone in need- he did that regularly. I thank God that he put Ricky in my life for the short period of time that he did- I am a better person for it. And while I'm sorry for any suffering my brother had to go through, I rejoice KNOWING that he really is in heaven with the Lord and we will see him again. My love and prayers for his family and friends. Sincerely, Scottie Petersen

I am very proud to say that Ricky was my friend. He was kind, thoughtful, and had a big heart, Immediately after my last spine surgery, Ricky took off from work and came to our house to help move heavy furniture to make room for a new motorized recliner. He quickly had the new heavy chair in place, plugged up and working. I could not have done this without Ricky’s help. I will miss him very much, but I am glad he is no longer suffering. RIP, my friend.
