Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Sanders Barstow

Elizabeth “Betty” Sanders Barstow, 86, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Sandy Springs Nursing & Rehab Center in Atlanta, GA. Born November 1937, in Camden, SC. She was a daughter of the late Charles Wesson Sanders and Mae Bussey Sanders. Mrs. Barstow was a member of the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Sandy Springs, GA. She grew up in the Church of Ascension at Hagood, SC. She was a retired school teacher. Surviving are two sons, Charles Sanders Barstow (Joyce) of Milton, GA and David Granville Barstow of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Stuart Sanders Barstow, Brandon Richard Barstow, and Elizabeth Granville Barstow. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, at The Church of Ascension at Hagood, SC with the Rev. Dr. Bill Murray and the Rev. Father Joel Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 5pm – 7pm Sunday, at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
