To the Reynolds family:
After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us.
My Dad, Joe Hill Hammond (1926-2015), was one of the young "boys of the 841st" (1943-1945). Then, "Lt." Reynolds, helped train and shape those boys, his U.S. Army company, into the men who were part of the victory in World War II in Europe.
Thank you for your service.
Please accept my condolences, he will not be forgotten.
Dan Hammond

I was very sorry to hear about your dad. I have wondered lately how they were doing. I pass the house almost daily. So many fond memories growing up with your parents in the neighborhood. Cool stuff in the attic. Model airplanes and such. Will try to see you Saturday. Recovering at the lake from chemo and surgery. I not be assured we will be thinking about you and many prayers. Be proud of him, he was about as perfect a man as could be.

Evans and Sharon,
We are very sorry to hear about your Father/Father-in-law. I know that he was a source of strength and inspiration to you through out your lives. It has been said that the most valuable legacy that one can leave behind is great memories. I'm sure that you will have many of those to cherish for the years ahead.

To the Reynolds family...
I will never forget the day I met Mr Reynolds.... I was buying the house across the street and he walked over to welcome me. Oh what a wonderful smile and how charming! I so enjoyed being your neighbors for over 10 years... It was such a thrill to talk with you both...I will certainly treasure all of these memories! I still have pictures he gave me and the wonderful gloves! I so miss the neighborhood. What a blessing it was to know Mr Reynolds!!
