Just want to express my condolences to the Sprott family. Though I've been gone from Sumter for a good many years now, I still remember Mrs. Sprott as being wonderful wife, mother and faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Rodney and Carol, how the years have gone by. We had such a good time playing together in Bennettsville. My family and I left Bennettsville forty years ago.
I was so very sad to hear about your Mother. I remember her as being such a pretty, sweet person. I lost my parents 5 years ago. It is so hard, but I have wonderful memories.
Please know you both are in my prayers and in my heart. Much love to you both.

As beautiful a outside as she was inside, Ruth Sprott lived a life of service to her God, her family, and her friends. She loved and was loved by so many people, and she gave them all her full attention and care. What she wasn’t able to say in person, she said in writing, and most who knew her will remember having received a handwritten note. To honor her legacy, I ask that you take the time today to write someone a handwritten note or letter, words of comfort and love. Having so many little notes in her handwriting brings comfort to those of us who are grieving her loss. I consider it my greatest honor in life that God chose me to be her only daughter. -Carol
